Have you heard of the General Data Protection Regulation (i.e. the GDPR)? My bet is that you have seen some information, emails, or news articles pop across your feed that reference this new, important, and expansive EU privacy regulation.
It can feel like a daunting task to wrap your mind around what this means for your business. So let me help you.
I have just completed a FREE REPORT on the GDPR that includes some important updates regarding this regulation.
This is an update that you do not want to miss.
There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding the GDPR, especially as it applies to US based entrepreneurs and online business owners.
In short, the GDPR will likely affect numerous functions involved with running your website or online business, including the way that you collect, store or share data, the disclosures that you are now required to make to your website visitors and current list subscribers, etc.
It is the most comprehensive change to existing privacy regulations in the space of online business to date. And although it may feel daunting at first, I believe this creates an opportunity for us to be very intentional about our data collection practices, consider the needs of our website visitors, customers and clients at every step, and provide a level of transparency that is commensurate with putting the needs of those that we serve ahead of the mass “collection of data at all costs” trend that we have been witnessing recently.
Also, I am thinking about hosting a Facebook Live Lunch & Learn on Friday to discuss some of the key aspects of this regulation and what it means for your business.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, be sure to join my list (web form at the right side of the page) so that you receive a reminder. Perhaps we can chat about the GDPR on Friday and answer some of your most pressing questions!
